Midlife Regression

We think the Boss is having not only a midlife crisis but a regression to childhood! She is planning on buying an ant farm and some sea monkeys. An ant farm??? Woman, are you out of your oddly-shaped human skull? Visions of cats jumping on the shelf to tap at the ants and spilling the whole contraption to the floor come to mind. And sea monkeys? Aren't those actually just brine shrimp? The cats will drink them! Now, if it was just us dogs, you'd have nothing to fear. Nevermind the getting into the garbage, that's just garbage. Do you really want dead sea monkeys on your conscience and ants in your bed??
In other news, while we were walking today, we noticed that some humans are really rude. We haven't met very many rude ones--most people realize our cuteness--so it came as kind of a surprise. Mia gets very excited when she meets other dogs. And she gets very excited when she first starts her walk. So she trots along yapping for a while until she settles down. Mia saw a large, fluffy dog and wanted to make friends with it. So she made sounds like a squeak toy and started pulling her way towards the dog. The dog's human said to our human "Geez, Lady, that dog really has issues!"
Well, I know that Mia has issues. But she's a nice dog (except when she pulls my ears and hogs the leftover pizza) and she's my sister. What a jerk! He was lucky I'm not the kind of dog to bite at people's ankles!
Most people are smarter than that though. They know a good dog when they see one.
And a dachshund is a good dog!
