The Little Lost Lop

The little lost lop wandered through the wood.
"Poor little creature," exclaimed the Faerie Nuclefa.
"The wood will soon be covered in ice."
"In order for the little lop to survive the winter, I must lead him somewhere warm and nice."
In a warm bed of leaves beneath the ground, the Lop weathered the winter.

I noticed the Flash 55 game in the sidebar of a team blog that I am part of, Undead in the Netherworld.
The first story I saw was on the Voices for Rabbits blog.
It inspired me to write the above bit.

Awww, the little lost lop. They usually do weather winter just fine around here. It's the summer lawn tractors they have to be wary of. I got too close to the tall grass around a hydrant last summer and unearthed a nest of tiny babies. We tried to stick them back in and cover them but I fear the story didn't end well.
Thank you all for your kind comments. Glad you liked it! I think I did let G-Man know I was participating but I'll double check. Can't trust us night shift workers!
