Max the Great
This is a story about a dog named Max and a boy named Jordan that we saw on Animal Planet.
When Jordan was a baby, his parents got a puppy named Max that could grow up with him. They were crate-training Max and he was usually pretty good. But one night he started barking and barking and would not be quiet. The parents finally decided that they had to let him out before he drove them crazy. They wondered if he needed to go really badly or if he heard something outside.
Max ran right to Jordan's room and up to his crib, barking. When his parents looked into the crib they noticed that their son, who had been suffering from the croup, wasn't breathing. His larynx was swollen, obstructing his airway. Getting him upright helped him start breathing again and bringing him into a steamy bathroom helped soothe and open his airway. Jordan is now six years old and Max is his best friend.
Dogs have excellent hearing and Max was able to hear when Jordan stopped breathing. Max is a true hero.
It's a nice thing when a tear comes to the old eye for something good. This is that kind of story!
